From the SCERA Center for the Arts and numerous fruit orchards, to Geneva Steel and a World War II prisoner-of-war camp, Orem has had a rich and varied history.
With the 100th birthday coming up May 5, 2019, the city is planning a whirlwind of events and activities to celebrate the town and its namesake, Walter C. Orem, once the president of the Salt Lake and Utah Railroad.
