What’s crazier than a comedy with a set of identical twins? A comedy with 2 sets of identical twins! Complete with live music, our signature touring stage, and a full cast of seasoned actors, join The Grassroots Shakespeare company for an evening of raucous slapstick mayhem!

The classic tale of star-crossed lovers as only The Grassroots Shakespeare Company can tell it! Forbidden love, dueling, and revenge abound in this timeless cautionary tale. With live music and fast-paced, engaging performances, The Grassroots Shakespeare Company brings you a unique experience unlike anything else.

Grassroots Shakespeare is an Original Practice company. This means we do Shakespeare the way that Shakespeare did Shakespeare!

No director! casting, costuming and staging are all done collaboratively

No fourth wall! In Shakespeare’s day, such a thing hadn’t been invented yet! Your typical Elizabethan audience would boo the villain and cheer on the hero or even answer questions for the characters! All of the dialogue and action is presented straight to the audience, inviting their response!

Very little rehearsal! In Shakespeare’s day, actors were expected to memorize their individual parts and put on a show within days! This makes our shows more spontaneous with genuine reactions!

A Grassroots show is an entirely different sort of live theater experience! Be prepared to understand Shakespeare for the first time and you’ll see why we’ve been a Utah favorite for 16 years!
